Main Gauche 17th century Left Handed Dagger Replica
The dagger's prime role as a weapon of self-defence continued well into the 17th century, although some new variants evolved such as this Main Gauche or left handed dagger. The Main Gauche was held in the left hand and was primarily used in conjunction with the Rapier. Based on models of 17th century this is an excellent rendition of the timely originals.
The blade is constructed of forged EN45 Stainless Steel and is equipped with a leather covered scabbard. The guard has a beautiful design with curved quillons to protect the hand. This exquisite piece would make an ideal gift or display item.
