The Late Roman Intercisa I Ridge Helmet is the typical light infantry helm, probably worn by auxiliaries instead of the legions. The original was found in a cache at the Roman fort of Intercisa in Hungary. Helms of this style seem to have been based on the similar two halves ''ridge'' helmets of Rome's enemy, the Sassanian Perisan empire. The eyes placed on the front of the helmet are reminiscent of the eyebrows on the fronts of the Imperial Gallic Helmets, and appear to be a Roman feature, not seen on Persian helmets.
Made of steel and fully leather lined.
