In the 1670's Henry John Morgan was the original Pirate of the Carribian. A successfull blood thirsty pirate. He's sneaky bell-end pistol was produced in Birmingham and was a formidable close quarter deck clearance sidearm. 32cm overall length

16th Century JAPANESE FLINTLOCK
16th Century JAPANESE FLINTLOCK (Reference #GLAD10105)

Essentially Oriental... with its hexagonal dragons mouth barrel. This small stocked flintlock action pistol was however Birmingham proof house stamped and manufactured in England. Pistols such of these bought about the demise of the samurai warrior based empire. 29cm overall length

FRENCH PIRATE PISTOL (Reference #GLAD10103)

Obviously not wishing to be outdone by a British Pirate. The French produced an even sneakier bell end pistol. only 26cm overall length. With working flintlock action and Bizzarly decorated chinese design barrel. However this pistol still carries the Queens crown Birmingham proof mark!! Proving that piracy had no borders.
